Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)

Dundas Dental Studio will soon accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP).

CDCP is a federal government program that helps eligible Canadians get affordable dental care.

Purpose of CDCP

The main goal of CDCP is to help people who do not have dental insurance.
It helps lower-income families get access to basic and important dental services by reducing treatment costs.

Who Is Eligible?

You may qualify for CDCP if:

  • You do not have dental insurance

  • Your adjusted family net income is under $90,000

  • You are a Canadian resident for tax purposes

  • You filed your tax return last year

Program Rollout

CDCP is being introduced in stages:

  • Seniors (87+ years): Enrollment started in December 2023

  • People with Disability Tax Credit & children under 18: Applications open in June 2024

  • All other eligible Canadians: Can apply online in 2025

What Services Are Covered?

CDCP covers many dental services, including:

  • Cleanings and preventive care

  • Dental exams and X-rays

  • Fillings and root canal treatments

  • Tooth extractions

  • Dentures

⚠️ CDCP does not cover 100% of the cost. Some patients may need to pay a portion.

Co-Payment Details

Your co-payment depends on your family income:

  • Under $70,000: No co-payment

  • $70,000 – $79,999: 40% co-payment

  • $80,000 – $89,999: 60% co-payment

Important Notes
